Winnipeg Jets outclassed by the Carolina Hurricanes

Winnipeg Jets lose to the Carolina Hurricanes and get a demonstration on why the Canes are the best team in the NHL today. Carolina Hurricanes under Rod Brind'amour are playing some of the best hockey in the NHL today. The Bunch of Jerks Carolina Hurricanes don't take hockey games as a laughing matter and the Canes end up downing the Jets with Amazing Special Teams play by Carolina. Martin Necas scores on the power play while Winnipeg's own Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes returns to Winnipeg to beat the Jets. Cole Perfetti remains with the AHL while Seth Jarvis does not attend Team Canada World Junior Camp as he now an NHL regular at age 19. Jaccob Slavin scores early in the game for Carolina and Sebastian Aho scores for the Carolina Hurricanes. Martin Necas scores a power play goal and Vincent Trocheck makes it 4 with a power play goal of his own. Freddie Anderson stops 16 of 18 shots against the NHL Jets and Carolina's team defence absolutely suffocated the Winnipeg Jets Offence. Ian Cole knee's Mark Scheifele and is ejected with a five minute major. Will Ian Cole suspension match Neal Pionk's Suspension. Neal Pionk suspended 2 games for kneeing Rasmus Sandin was felt on the Winnipeg Jets Power Play as Pionk was not available to quarterback the top for the Jets. Neal Pionk is out with a concussion. Nikolaj Ehlers scores for the Jets from Paul Stastny and Nate Schmidt while Pierre-Luc Dubois gets his 13th of the year scoring for the Winnipeg Jets on the Power play. Kyle Connor was held off the score sheet, Mark Schiefele and Blake Wheeler also had no points in the game tonight. Paul Maurice was out coached by Brind'Amour all game and Paul Maurice's old Carolina Hurricanes team of which he was fired from twice, look strong. Winnipeg Jets Penalty Kill remains the worst in the NHL while the Carolina Hurricanes Penalty Kill remains the best in the NHL. Winnipeg Jets need to change up their PK strategy and improve on their aggressive zone entry tactics on the Winnipeg Jets PP.
