What a difference a week and two wins make. Jolley was feeling the pressure after a 2-1 home defeat by Morecambe left Grimsby Town without a victory since the second week of the season. But three points at Carlisle United on Tuesday and an emphatic 2-0 win over Port Vale on Saturday has lifted the Mariners clear of the relegation zone and left them in much more positive spirits. A switch in formation seems to have done the trick — Jolley realising that he may have got things a little wrong tactically in the early part of the season.
