The Orlando Magic Tragedy Actually Began in 2012

It's the NBA trade deadline and there have been a bunch of trades. But, the team that has made the most disappointing moves in my opinion are the Orlando Magic. They have traded the likes of Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon in the span of like two hours. And what do they get back in return? Not much from the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics. Wendell Carter Jr., Gary Harris and some draft picks. Thanks, Woj for the Woj bomb. This has been the history of the Orlando Magic: an extremely poorly run franchise. This is nothing new. In fact, this all started nine years ago in 2012 with a guy known by the name Dwight Howard and his coach Stan Van Gundy. This is that story. A story of mediocrity.
