Ali Imran and Shoaib Malik combined as Mirpur Royals edged Kotli Lions by six wickets in the second season two game of Kashmir Premier League. Lions had set up a total of 151 for the loss of six wickets, which was chased down by the Royals with two balls to spare. Royals had lost their opening batter, Hassan Nawaz, early in the innings but Ali Imran and Shoaib Malik took the game away from the opposition to get their side over the line. One-down batter Mohammad Akhlaq couldn't get started as well but Imran and Malik did the job. Imran had done most of the work with his blistering 84 off just 57 balls, whereas Malik held the other end as he ended up with 48 off 42 balls. Earlier, the Lions were restricted to 151 with a decent bowling effort from Yasir Shah and Salman Irshad, who gave just five runs per over to put on the brakes.
