Matheus Cunha headed in Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s cross to cancel out Alex Iwobi’s opener, as we went into the break with one goal each. The second half was the tale of three penalties. VAR didn’t overturn a penalty against Nelson Semedo, despite evidence that he made contact with the ball. Then Hee Chan Hwang won and converted a spot kick. Late in stoppage time, VAR penalised Joao Gomes for making minimal contact with Harry Wilson and Willian scored his second penalty of the night.

Early goals in both halves cost us this evening at Molineux as we lose to Fulham. Ryan Sessegnon scored within 60 seconds, before Joao Gomes smashed home to level the scores within 20 minutes. After the interval, Adam Traore slipped in Rodrigo Muniz, who dinked over Jose Sa to score the decisive goal.
