Juwan Howard was ejected with 11 minutes left in the game with the Wolverines up 57-47 when the ejection took place coming back from commercial break - where Howard had to be restrained multiple times from going after what appeared to be either a Maryland player or coach. After the ejection, Maryland scored 5 straight points to cut the Michigan lead to 5, but the Wolverines countered with 8 straight of their own to go up 13 and put the game out of reach.
