Team USA bounced back in a 108-80 win over Argentina following back-to-back losses to Nigeria and Australia earlier this week. After getting off to a hot start, Team USA were able to build on their lead in the third quarter and end Argentina's hopes of making things interesting going forward. Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Bam Adebayo and Damian Lillard performed fantastically for the United States as the All-Stars performed to the level fans have been accustomed to seeing throughout their careers. It is vital to Team USA that these four players continue to produce at a high level if the United States is to achieve its goal of bringing home gold. With the win, Team USA moved up to 1-2 in their Olympic tuning game with the second match against Australia on Friday evening at 6pm. It would be tempting to assume that Team USA completely fixed the ship with this impressive win. There are even some poems in the opponent. Argentina was the team that made Team USA lose the gold medal in 2004. It seems fitting that it was the opponents who helped them get back on track now. The narrative is good, but not necessarily fair.
