CHESTER FC 1-3 MAIDSTONE UNITED MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE: 21/04/18

Hi guys, welcome to another matchday vlog. This video shows highlights of Chester FC’s 3-1 defeat at home against Maidstone United in the National League on Saturday 21st April 2018. It was our last home game of the season but I thought that the scoreline was quite harsh. 6 Academy players/graduates ended up being on the pitch before the final whistle and they all put in loads of effort. They fought for the shirt and are definitely ones for the future. Also, one of the Academy players called Cain Noble scored our goal on his debut. Cain is from the Lache so is a local lad, and is also our youngest goalscorer since reformation which is a great achievement. Before the game, goalkeeper Andy Firth, who is on-loan from Liverpool, gave me a pair of his personalised, match-worn goalie gloves to thank me for my hard work at this club. That was a top gesture from him and I can’t thank him enough as I am really made up. Our next match is a trip to Cumbria as we face Barrow away on the final day of the season next Saturday. I am stopping over again so I really can’t wait for it now. I will also upload a match preview and a vlog so look out for that soon. I hope you enjoyed today’s video, and please like sub. Cheers, Rio. AFC TELFORD UNITED 3-1 CHESTER FC DERBY MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH: 25/08/18

Hi guys, welcome to today’s match vlog. This video shows highlights of Chester FC’s 3-1 defeat away at AFC Telford United in a local derby on Saturday 25th August 2018. This was another extremely disappointing performance from our standards which puts us in a bad position. We’ve had 2 whole week’s to get over the Blyth debacle but yesterday we looked lost again and barely got into the game. Telford played well and fully deserved the win so fair play to them. Our players were disjointed and didn’t know what to do at times, whilst us supporters even had to tell who to take corners and even throw ins on a few occasions. Their concentration and communication levels were at panic stations so they seriously need to wake up now as we have a full week to prepare for our next game. On Bank Holiday Monday (tomorrow) we should’ve been playing at home to Hereford FC, but it’s been postponed due to the damage at our stadium. Our next game will be away at Guiseley next Saturday where we MUST screw our heads on. I will be going so I will upload a match preview and a vlog soon. CHESTER FC 0-2 TRANMERE ROVERS DERBY MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE: 07/04/18

Hi guys, welcome to another match vlog. This video shows highlights of Chester FC’s 2-0 home defeat against local neighbours Tranmere Rovers in the National League on Saturday 7th April 2018. This result confirmed our relegation to the National League North which frustrated and upset me. I wouldn’t mind if Bromley were to relegate us on Tuesday, but for a local rival such as Tranmere to do that makes it even more annoying. In the match itself we didn’t play too badly, but it wasn’t the best performance. Our season simply has been dreadful though. It’s turned out to be the stuff of nightmares as Jon McCarthy over-spent the budget, got sacked, a number of players and staff left, our chairman has resigned, board members have left, we nearly went bust, Marcus Bignot is set to leave and obviously we have been relegated. At the end of the day though, every football club in the land has/will get relegated and these things do happen. It’s actually our first relegation as a Phoenix club. The upcoming Summer is going to be absolutely massive as we need to bring in a manager who has fresh ideas and can hopefully bring us back up one day. It’s going to take time but our better days do lie ahead if we get everything right. Our next game is at home against Bromley on Tuesday. We haven’t got anything to play for now so I’m not sure how we will get on. I will be there so I will upload a match preview and a vlog in due course. Although it was an awful day yesterday, I still hope that you have enjoyed today’s video. Don’t forget to subscribe and leave a like. Cheers, Rio. CHESTER FC 0-0 ALDERSHOT TOWN MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE: 17/03/18

Hi guys, welcome to another matchday vlog. This video shows highlights of a 0-0 draw between Chester FC and Aldershot Town in the National League on Saturday 17th March 2018. In all honesty, it was a dire game in awful conditions. It was probably the coldest I have been at a match in a long while which made things worse as the match was very low on quality. However, I am happy with a point against a good Aldershot side who dominated the game. We play against Sutton United away next Saturday in what will be a tough game down South. I will not be going though which is a rarity because instead I am going to Anfield to watch Liverpool Legends play against Bayern Munich Legends. I’m really looking forward to it and will do a special vlog on the match so keep an eye out for it. At the same time though, I really hope that Chester can come back from Sutton with a much-needed win. You can read this week’s Chester FC Fans’ Jury by clicking on the link below. CHESTER FC 0-1 LEYTON ORIENT MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE: 20/02/18

Hi guys, welcome to another matchday vlog. This video shows highlights of Chester FC’s 1-0 defeat at home against Leyton Orient in the National League on Tuesday 20th February 2018. I thought that Chester put in a lot of effort last night. In the first half we played some great football and looked really solid. However, in the second half Leyton Orient probably deserved the win. We dropped too deep for the majority of it and let Orient have most of the possession. On another day we may have won, but we must learn from these mistakes next time out. Our next match is away at Dagenham And Redbridge this Saturday. They aren’t doing too well at the moment and I feel like we are improving, so it is a chance to create a shock result. I will be making the long trip down to Essex and really can’t wait right now, so I will be doing a match preview as well as a vlog. I hope that you have enjoyed today’s video.
