Live: MI Vs DC, Match 69, Mumbai | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Mumbai Indians Vs Delhi Capitals For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: A team with all to lose going up against a team that has nothing to lose. A team that is yet to win an IPL title going up against a team that has pocketed the most trophies over the last 14 seasons. A team high on emotions against a team that's simply going through the motions of the tournament. A team that's desperately in need to find its best XI going up against a team that is more inclined in testing its bench strength. There are pros and there are cons as to where Delhi Capitals stand in the context of the contest, but the eventual goal is as simplified as Jindal has made it out to be. After an entire season of winning a game and then losing one, DC's head coach Ricky Ponting believes that his team has finally found the momentum after breaking the trend with a victory in the previous game. Whether it's a facade of confidence or a genuine feeling, he is hopeful that the team has peaked at the right moment to go for the ultimate glory. Eventually, the one result on Saturday that will decide their fate - whether it's the ambition of the big cup, or like their opponents of the day, a ticket back home. Even as dew hasn't played a big part in the last few games at the Wankhede Stadium, chasing teams have won three of the last four matches at the venue. 71 percent humidity is expected with the weather. Mumbai Indians: Jasprit Bumrah has been successful in keeping Rishabh Pant in check, conceding only 47 runs in 42 balls and dismissing the southpaw six times in the process. The DC captain, who is going through an indifferent form would do well to see off the challenge from the in-form pacer Delhi Capitals: Rohit Sharma has struggled against Khaleel Ahmed and Axar Patel, both of whom have combined to dismiss him only thrice in 75 balls but conceded at less than run-a-ball.
Live: CSK Vs RR, Match 68, Mumbai | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Chennai Super Kings Vs Rajasthan Royals For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: Rajasthan Royals have their fate in their own hands; after a couple of forgettable seasons, the Royals find themselves not just in the top four, but with a golden chance to seal a spot in the top two. All that stands between them and that Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans are the Chennai Super Kings, who have nothing to lose. Defending champions CSK have been a shadow of their title-winning selves - picking up just 4 wins in 13 games. Neither their bowling, nor batting, has come together to pose a threat to the opposition, and it has been a forgettable season for more reasons than one. They did a volte face on captaincy, eliciting rumours of a rift between the management and Ravindra Jadeja after he exited the bubble citing an injury. Ambati Rayudu attracted unnecessary attention to him, and by extension the CSK camp, by tweeting of his retirement and retracting it soon. As knocked-out teams are already looking ahead, CSK have all to play for in their last game, and will want to end the otherwise disappointing season with a win and delve into the depths of their shortcomings this season post that. For RR, the second spot is only theirs to lose. They are in a good position to defenestrate Lucknow Super Giants from that second spot. In the bid for that, they've already received a boost in the form of the return of their swashbuckling finisher - Shimron Hetmyer. The West Indian has been instrumental in RR's strong finishes this season and it's a no-brainer for him to slot right in. One of the primary reasons RR find themselves in the position they are in is the pair of Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal - who've clicked and delivered from the start. However, in the latter-half of the season, both have undersupplied. A win against CSK will take Sanju Samson's side to 18 points, and ahead of LSG whose NRR is inferior to RR's. That said, even if they fall short against CSK, they need to ensure they keep the margin of defeat low, so that their already strong NRR can take care of the rest. Rajasthan Royals: Buttler has been dismissed by Bravo three times, averaging just 19 against the veteran bowler. However, against CSK, Buttler has scored 265 runs in 6 innings, striking close to 150 and averaging 66.25. RR will hope Buttler can add to that tally in a crucial game for their campaign and take some momentum into the playoffs. Buttler, who had scored 491 runs in the first 7 games, has scored just 136 in the last six games. Also, Samson up at No.3 works better for the balance of the side with Devdutt Padikkal shining in the middle order. Chennai Super Kings: In their last game against GT, CSK did not hit a single boundary in the last five overs of their innings. They left out Rayudu and Uthappa in the previous fixture, and are likely to bring back the experienced duo for the final game of the season. Uthappa though, has been dismissed 7 times by Ashwin, who has also a strong record against Rayudu. They may have to opt for an extra batter and drop a seamer on a ground that favours spinners.
Live: RCB Vs GT, Match 67, Mumbai | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Gujarat Titans For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: It is said that cricket is a game of inches. For those teams sweating it out to rubber-stump a place in the IPL 2022 playoffs, it could also feel like a game of decimal points (NRR). With 14 points to their name, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aiming to defeat table-toppers Gujarat Titans in their final game of the league phase to give themselves the best chance of progressing to the next phase. But if they lose, it would be an exit door for the franchise as they have a negative NRR of -.323. Even if RCB emerge victorious, they would find themselves on the edge of a precipice as Delhi Capitals are also currently on 14 points and have a positive NRR. Just like some of the past seasons, RCB have been hit by an inconsistency bug - some promise mixed with red flags. However, to the think tank's credit, they have tried to keep a settled combination, making only six changes so far. They go into the all-important match on the back of a loss against Punjab Kings. On a positive note, Wanindu Hasaranga has been a shining light for RCB, having bagged 23 wickets so far. The other silver lining is Rajat Patidar making the number three spot his own with useful contributions. Unlike their opponent, GT are flying high, having already secured a berth in Qualifier 1. A couple of losses didn't go according to the script, but GT got their campaign back on track with victories over Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. Wriddhiman Saha has provided them with the booster in the Powerplay over the last few games while Shubman Gill has compiled over 400 runs this season. As the tournament has progressed, Rashid Khan has taken his game to a different zone, having picked up seven wickets in his last three matches. A few tired decks have played a part in that. In the pace department, Mohammed Shami will be polishing his swing and seam bowling skills to make incisions up front. One of the worry lines for the side is the form of their skipper Hardik Pandya, who has compiled only 56 runs in his last six matches. The last game played at the Wankhede stadium - SRH versus MI - was a high-scoring match. The decks at the Wankhede have tended to offer spongy bounce through the course of the tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore: Hasaranga has snared the most wickets in the middle phase in this IPL. And he could again come into play in tomorrow's game, especially in the backdrop of GT's batters slotting in at number 3 and 4 struggling to notch up scores of substance. Hazlewood versus Saha will be another interesting matchup. The 'keeper-batter would hope to disrupt Hazlewood's unremitting discipline with lofts and across the line shots. Gujarat Titans: On the other hand, GT's seamers have been excellent with the new ball, exemplified by them taking 25 wickets in the PowerPlay this season. Shami alone has scalped 11 wickets in that period. Rashid has dislodged Karthik three times and given away only 30 runs off 28 balls. In the previous fixture between these two sides, one over of Rashid was held back and the champion spinner removed Karthik with the googly. Shami versus Kohli would be another intriguing matchup, with the seamer having dismissed the RCB mainstay five times in IPL. A couple of those dismissals have come in the end overs, with Kohli looking to up the ante.
Live: KKR Vs LSG, Match 66, Mumbai | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Mumbai Indians Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: It's been a busy few days for the Lucknow Super Giants, and not in a good way. Sitting at the top of the points table only last week, they have now been pushed to the third spot and, quite frustratingly, haven't yet managed to seal a playoff spot. The back to back defeats in their last couple of games - something LSG have endured for the first time this season - puts them on shaky ground ahead of their final league game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, and the best thing they can do is to go on and win it. That would also make a strong case for a top-two finish although Rajasthan Royals, who play their final league match a couple of days later, will have the added advantage of knowing what exactly to do to finish ahead. KKR, in contrast, sit in diametrically opposite quarters. Their moribund season has been sparked to life with back to back wins but a win over LSG wouldn't be enough for them. All they can do is make sure it's a big one and get their NRR (0.160) ahead of Delhi Capitals (0.255). That would make DC's game against Mumbai Indians a must-win game for them. For captains to win the toss and bat first. With the pitches tiring out, the case is simple. KKR discovered it in their last couple of games, by accident or by design. Should LSG win the toss, the case to bat first for them is even more straightforward. They have the best record batting first this season and the worst record chasing amongst all teams barring MI and CSK. In fact, their last four defeats have come while chasing. Kolkata Knight Riders: In their last game, fit-again Umesh Yadav came into the side while Sam Billings took the gloves from Sheldon Jackson, filling in the fourth overseas spot vacated by home-bound Pat Cummins. That combination clicked together but will be forced to change with a Grade-III hamstring injury to Ajinkya Rahane. It could mean a return for Baba Indrajith at the top of the order, or Jackson could be included as an opener in a left-field move. Lucknow Super Giants: There's pressure on LSG's middle order to deliver. Rahul (469), Quinton de Kock (362) and Deepak Hooda (406) have scored 61% of the total runs for LSG. There is a case for bringing in Manish Pandey and Evin Lewis in place of Ayush Badoni and Marcus Stoinis respectively.
Live: PBKS Vs DC, Match 64, Mumbai | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Punjab Kings Vs Delhi Capitals For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: The similarities between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals stretch beyond an identical 12 points in as many games. Neither of them have won two games on the bounce in IPL 2022 pointing to familiar inconsistency. Come Monday, at the fag end of the season, one of the two will set that dubious record straight at the DY Patil Stadium. Both Punjab and Delhi are coming into the contest on the back of resounding wins - PBKS dented Bangalore and their playoffs hopes, while Delhi stalled Rajasthan Royals march into top-two with an eight-wicket statement win. What Punjab's big win over RCB did though was not only boost their NRR, but also offer Delhi a new lease of life by giving them back the control of their fate in the competition. Even though they're outside of top-four currently with two games in hand each including this, theoretically both are in with a chance to make it to the playoffs with just one more 'W'. After a bunch of seasons of struggle, fast-evolving calculations and prayers at the business end of the tournament, this feeling might be alien to Punjab, and frankly a luxury both teams would rather not want to fall back upon. Monday's clash is also the one between two of the most aggressive batting line-ups of this season. Delhi and Punjab are the top-two sides respectively with the highest Powerplay run-rate this season. DC also have the best boundary percentage (20.6) while Punjab are third on that list (19.1). Approximately seven per cent of both the teams' runs have come in sixes. This is largely due to the red-hot form of two ex-SRH openers - David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan - now leading the run-charts for their respective new teams. Punjab showed faith in a misfiring Jonny Bairstow - incidentally another SRH import - and the Englishman has repaid the faith with twin fifties since Mayank Agarwal selflessly relinquished the opener's slot for him. The lack of runs from their captain's bat though hasn't quite pinched Punjab as much, courtesy the firepower they pack in their top-five. Liam Livingstone has proven to be the best 11.5 Cr Punjab spent at the auction table - recording the second-best strike rate of 180.75 in IPL 2022 and hitting the third-highest number of sixes (29), only behind Jos Buttler (37) and Andre Russell (32). Punjab Kings: With 1005 runs in 22 innings - 12 of which were half-century knocks - Warner is the leading run-scorer against Punjab in the IPL. To curb any chances of early fireworks from his bat, Punjab will undoubtedly let Rabada have a go at him, having already dismissed the Australian five times in T20 cricket. Delhi's last five opening partnerships anyway read: 0, 5, 0, 16 and 0 with the team struggling to find an able replacement for typhoid-struck Prithvi Shaw. Delhi Capitals: Likewise, Delhi would also want to see the back of Punjab's top-scorer this season, Dhawan, early. To that effect, they might hand an over or two with the new ball to Kuldeep, who has dismissed the southpaw twice. Dhawan averages only 17 against the left-arm spinner, who is currently Delhi's top wicket-taker this season (18).
