Feast your eyes upon this once in a life time offering of arguably the most important Kobe Bryant card ever produced, his '97 Metal Universe PMG Green/Emerald parallel. If you're lucky you might see this card once in your life, let alone have the chance to acquire it. Even the most novice of trading card enthusiasts understand the extreme rarity and fragility of this card. The Precious Metal Gems were available as foil base parallels in the '97-98 Metal Universe Basketball production. Limited to 100 total copies per player with the first ten cards being green and the final 90 red. Given the extreme rarity of green parallels and the fact that they lie so close to many collector's hearts, they simply don't surface on the open market, especially when it features a global super star in Kobe Bryant. Condition on these cards don't matter much as they're widely considered fine-art equivalents worthy of a museum. Offered here is the final card from the 'green' production, the number 10/10 copy. This example possesses many attributes of an EXMT to NRMT example with sharp corners and modest chipping to the top, left and bottom edges. The highly fragile surfaces are void of nearly all imperfections with only some very light wear present to the left of Kobe's knees. Be advised that this card was previously submitted to BGS for grading where it received an 'Authentic/Altered' assessment. Upon review the right edge may be very lightly trimmed, and this is the only thing we can discern to justify the BGS assessment. Within the early stages of Kobe's NBA career and as Michael Jordan's career waned, Kobe was dubbed as Jordan's 'Air-Apparent' with his ability to dazzle fans with his acrobatic dunks and possessing the ability to completely take over the game.
