I used a size 12 gamakatsu octopus hook tipped with a tiny piece of nightcrawler and a small float all on 4lb test line. You get to see me catch my first fish on my bamboo pole and go with me on my first micro fishing adventure! I caught a few very large golden shiners and had a good sized pickerel try and grab one the the shiners as I brought it in. The rod held up excellent and didn't even flinch at the weight of the pickerel. This may be a thing where I fish cranberry bogs... who knows!
