Promotion chasing Newry made the trip up the A1 to Wilgar Park as the Duns looked to build upon recent results it would turn out to be an entertaining encounter with nothing to separate the teams. Newry got started the brighter of the sides and went 1 up on the 8th minute by a James Teelan goal but Dundela would level the score only 1minute later when Guillaume Keke finished at close range after a well worked Dundela free kick. Dundela would continue their dominance and take the lead soon after on 15' after a well placed corner kick found the head of Jay Magee with the Newry keeper producing a fine a save and the ball being headed in by Johnny Taylor. the 2nd half continued off where the 1st had finished with Newry leveling the scores from another corner on 58' this time the ball being met by Darren King. Both teams had chances to take all 3 points but 2-2 is how it finished at a cold & windy Wilgar Park.
