England South Africa ODI Series Called Off, More Trouble for The Struggling West Indies

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have decided to call off the entire three-match One-day series between the two cricketing nations after two members of the visiting contingent tested positive for the novel coronavirus. After the T20I series, England and South Africa had to lock horns against each other in the first ODI on December 4. However, the match was rescheduled to December 6 at Boland Park in Paarl after one South African player had tested positive for Covid-19 hours before the match commenced. West Indies have been jolted big time after two of their significant names pulled out of their second Test against New Zealand. Pacer Kemar Roach and wicket-keeping batsman Shane Dowrich would be unavailable for the Test starting at Basin Reserve in NZ’s capital city Wellington. The duo has decided to set foot for the home due to personal reasons. Roach would be returning due to the death of his father in recent times. On the other hand, Dowrich has pulled out due to other personal commitments. The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman, Joshua DaSilva would be marking his debut as he has been named as the replacement for Dowrich. Left-arm pacer Preston McSween will be up with the squad as cover. Dowrich went down with a hand injury during 1st Test and couldn’t bat even in one innings. On the other hand, Roach returned with 3-114 figures during the same Test.
