This is the first of two meetings between these two teams in the 2021-22 season. The game will be played in Morgantown, WV on Saturday, January 8 at 2:00pm EST and will be streamed on ESPN+. Both teams have been dealing with depleted rosters due to players having Covid. Kansas State only had 7 total players for their last game against Texas. Head Coach, Bruce Weber, also missed the game due to Covid concerns. West Virginia opened Big 12 play against Texas on Saturday, January 1 without Big 12 leading scorer, Taz Sherman, as well as two other key players.
