With the New York Yankees loss today, the Blue Jays are now 1.5 games up on the 2nd AL Wildcard position, but with the Boston Red Sox win, remain 1 game back of getting home field advantage. After trailing by 16 points in the 2nd half, the Michigan State Spartans have comeback to hand the Wolverines their 1st loss of the season, 37-33. Two different times it appeared the Wolverines were on their way to victory. Thanks to a good first half and solid start to the second half, they had a 16 point lead, which they choked and also a 3 point lead, with the ball, before Michigan State recovered a fumble. Today was the Kenneth Walker show. With 197 yards and 5 touchdowns, there's no other way to put it. The Michigan Wolverines (9) barely survive against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, with a final score of 32-29. It wasn’t the most impressive of wins, but the Michigan Wolverines now improve to 6-0. Although their defense thrived in the 1st half, the new look defense of 1st year DC, Mike Macdonald, struggled to stop Adrian Martinez in the 2nd half. With their loss Saturday, the Cornhuskers now fall to 3-4. Quick Recap: After going up 13-0 at halftime, the Michigan Wolverines thought they had it easy, but barely survived a scare, which included 22 points allowed in the 3rd quarter.
