We believe the Kings have ran much better defensive schemes this season in comparison to last but one thing E-Man and I noticed was that the Kings gave up on hard hedging in the second half but mostly the 4th quarter. So I asked coach Luke Walton about it. We believe they gave up too early on it because the way the Bulls got most of their 3s made were not from hard hedging/blitzing rather in one-on-one situations/man defense. We felt like you could've and should've dared Porter JR, Valentine and Williams to beat you instead of allowing mismatches on Lavine and Coby White. We believe they should've been blitzing Coby much more to get him to pass the ball. Also we believe Barnes should've guarded LaVine much earlier because he was the most effective. It's definitely something we look forward to seeing if Luke decides to use this strategy more against really good guards. This should be a good and fun discussion regardless.
