The 2018 O'Dwyer Shield was played as the curtain raiser to NRL Round 1 match between the TFH Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders at CBUS Super Stadium. The O’Dwyer Shield is contested by St James Banora Point and St Joseph’s Tweed Heads annually. It recognises the achievements of Tweed Heads local and Foundation Titans player Luke O’Dwyer, and acknowledges Luke’s brother Ryan, whose battle with Leukaemia cut short his love of rugby league.
