In a blistering opening 20 minutes, Yutaka Yoshida opened the scoring for Nagoya, before Kosuke Saito and Masakazu Tashiro put the hosts in front. Brazilian forward Mateus equalised in the 73rd minute, but it was Yokohama FC's Yuji Senuma who sent the home side happy five minutes later.
