A career-best haul for Luke Fletcher and an unbroken 104-run stand between Lyndon James and Steven Mullaney put Nottinghamshire firmly in the driving seat after day one of their clash against Essex. Fletcher ripped through the reigning champions' line-up, ably assisted by Stuart Broad and James, as Essex tumbled to 99 all out.
