Its one of the things that you either have or you don’t. klay thompson is a great shooter, which is an understatement, hes probabaly the 2nd best ever, and he has learned to hit the fadeaway jumpshot, but you can tell he doesn’t have that same smoothness, great form obviously, which again is an understatement, it might be the best ever, but if you see him try to score in isolation, you can see what I mean. and that has been kobes greatest achievement. Inspiring literally everyone in todays nba. no im being serious, is there any young player in todays league who doesn’t have kobe Bryant as their favorite player? dude plays in los angeles, and still picked lebron over kobe. Might be the ballsiest thing hes ever done. not bad, zo. but players in todays game have learned a lot from kobe, they shoot jumpshots like him, they dunk like him, even his signature move off the backboard. Does ben simmons get more assists than Donovan, yes. can he close out an entire team by himself like Donovan? Not a chance in the world. now I don’t want to offend anyone here, Donovan has been so good, I am genuinely interesting in something Utah related. When is the last time anyone has been interested in anything from Utah? In terms of basketball, the most iconic moment from their franchise was when a player hit a shot, from the other team.

In a jumpshooting league, derrick rose has very little shooting skill to offer. I honestly cant remember if hes just naturally a bad shooter, or if the injuries fucked his jumpshot. Its gotta be a combination a both cause this is horrific. Now my next point is definitely gonna make me look like a hater, ill admit it. But im just trying to speak the truth here. Derrick rose is the worst type of player you can have when facing the warriors. The warriors defense begs for players like rose because you know he cant shoot, you know he wants to score in the paint, and you know he cant defend on the other end. Im not calling rose a terrible baskerball player, but injuries have literally defined this mans career. And all basketball aside, that’s the main reason I think he should retire. Is injuries. Look As long as Cameron fucking payne has an active spot in the nba derrick rose should be just fine, but I just don’t think its worth it for him anymore. Given how injury prone he is, and how aggressive he plays, hes the most terrifying player to watch, unquestionably. It takes one second for a player to have a life changing injury. and Lets face it, the champion is gonna come out of the western conference. And even if the cavs do manage to win somehow, derrick will have a ring, but as what? Like, the 5th best player on the roster? oh and I did I mention hes being paid in pennies? 2 million dollars is a lot of money.. until you attach the name derrick rose to it. Stephen curry literally earns 20 times more millions than rose. I mean he is about 20 times more valuable at this point, but its still an insane thought. Now the cavs introduced a pretty decent strategy, getting rid of their worst defender. Only problem is, they replaced him. with an even worse defender. And that would be Dwayne wade. now some people are probably thinking im incorrect. Because the cavs didn’t replace kyrie irving with dwyane wade they replaced him with Isaiah Thomas. yeah. Literally the exact same statement stands. Whichever way you look at it, they got rid of their worse defensive player, and replaced him with an even worse defensive player. overall what im trying to say is, if you remove kyrie irving from your roster the last thing your defense is supposed to do is get worse. Yet that’s exactly what the cavs defense did. and given roses injury history, I honestly think he should accept playing 10-15 minutes a night or retire. There is no player I fear more of getting injured than derrick rose. but lets get back to the cavs trade. the only reason the dwyane wade trade was a good move is because of his name.

What chris paul adds to this team is just about exactly what they need especially to compete with the warriors. Not only is cp3 a secondary guy to james harden who can now get his own shot whenever wants, hes also a guy who can fit in the offense perfectly because of his finishing and 3 point ability. And flopping ability. You must never forget the flopping ability. Which brings me to a quick side note, the amount of freethrows Houston is gonna shoot next season will be disgusting. (Insert all scoring stats voiceover) but what will forever separate LBJ and KD is passing and playmaking. LeBron is 10x the passer KD is, this elevates him so far above KD as a player, it just not a close comparison anymore. LeBron has the magical touch and ability to score when it’s needed and in the flow of the game, and pass when its needed and in the flow of the game. It’s just a gift he has that KD will never have. Comparing their assists numbers is actually embarrassing. (Show assists stats) Now as defender Kevin Durant is pretty damn great when he’s on his game and but I’d take LeBron on the defensive end over KD any day. LeBron coasts pretty often in the regular season but his ability to guard 1-5 when concentrated is absolute facts, his engagement and lateral movement on defense is superb, but to give KD his credit, he could end up being a nightmare defensively in the playoffs for the warriors. Assisting/Playmaking Now I don’t mind saying everything up until this point has been pretty close but this right here is what distinguishes LeBron from Kobe, Jordan, and yes, Kevin Durant. LeBron is the smartest passer I’ve ever seen, he’s not the best passer I’ve ever seen but the smartest. He’s a genius with the basketball and KD literally looks like squash compared to James in this category. And like I said comparing their assist numbers is slightly embarrassing, LeBron has always had the gift of being able to get his own while getting everyone involved at crucial moments of the game. As you can see Kevin Durant averages 3.7 assists per game while having mostly decent teammates throughout his career compared to Lebron who blows him away and averages exactly 7 assists a game. But the stats never tell the whole story, LeBron can make passes that no one else can in the league, his combination of size and vision makes him one of the greatest ever. Now again, KD is not horrible at passing or making plays but Im talking about the third eye, im talking about the steve nash, larry bird, magic Johnson GIFT of passing. And LeBron James absolutely has it. Head to Head matchups LeBron is 13-3 against KD and that’s not even including the Finals in which he pretty much swept him and made him cry to his beautiful momma. Finals included their record is 17-4. And this is where I just shake my head at LeBron… in their head to head matchups, which have pretty much ALL been on national TV LeBron is averaging more rebounds, more assists, AND more points ON A HIGHER EFFICIENCY… ALL ON FEWER MINUTES PLAYED PER GAME.
