The @PhoenixMercuryVideos outscored the @LVAces in the 2nd half, but it wasn’t quite enough to overcome the first half deficit, losing with a final score of 106-88 in the Mercury season opener in the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix. Skylar Diggins-Smith lead the Mercury with 25 points 3 rebounds and 1 assist, while Diana Taurasi finished with 9 points 4 rebounds and 9 assists. The Mercury, still without their full roster has plenty to be proud of though, as the team continues to come together. Head Coach Vanessa Nygaard promises the team will continue to get better, starting with her.
