Around five thousand Villarreal fans were allowed on 16th May to attend their team playing a decisive La Liga game against Sevilla. Spanish authorities announced on 12th May that a limited number of fans would be allowed back into some soccer and basketball games, 14 months after the start of the pandemic. Spain's Minister of Culture and Sports José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes said that a few thousand fans will be allowed into games for final two rounds of the Spanish league, but only in those regions with low incidence rates. So far only the regions of eastern Valencia and northwestern Galicia met the requirements considered "low risk" by Spanish health authorities. 1. 00:42 - 01:01 SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Laura Garcia, voxpop: "I am so proud. After such a long time we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. What can be better than being back at our stadium for such an important match and to support our team ahead of the (Europa League) final? This is a boost of energy both for the team and the fans. We were looking forward to it." 2. 01:19 - 01:40 SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Oscar Scrig, voxpop: "I feel moved and motivated. All at once. I was so looking forward to see the team. We've had a good season this year but we couldn't see them playing at the stadium and to experience the atmosphere inside the stadium. To see the people around me. Feeling happy for the team." #Villarreal #Sevilla #LaLiga #VillarrealvsSevilla SOURCE: SNTV Visit the WeShow Football store: https://www.youtube.com/weshowfootball/store #WeShowFootball features previews, reactions and behind-the-scenes footage from Europe's elite football competitions.
