With some upsetting news in baseball, the Atlanta Braves have been stripped of hosting baseball's 91st All Star Game due to political matters. Murph tip toes around the merky waters of politics to cover this breaking story to keep you up to date with the latest in the MLB. Now that MLB needs a new All Star Game location, Muprh takes a look around the league and provides some potential cities to host. Plus, he gives you one team that he does NOT want to host the 91st mid-summer classic. Both the Boston Bruins and Celtics walk away with wins over the weekend and Murph breaks down both team's current situation in terms of scheduling and their spot in their respective standings. Murph's Boston Sports Talk - Ep. 35
The Boston Bruins were in dicey game last night as they were able to beat the New Jersey Devils 5-4 in shootout. Murph likes the resiliency from the boys in black and gold however, he still has some concerns with the team. With the trade deadline now less than two weeks away, the Bruins need to start making moves and fast in efforts for the Bruins to be a legit contender come the Stanley Cup Playoffs. As Spring Training now concludes, we can officially look ahead to regular season baseball from your beloved Boston Red Sox. With a fresh, brand new season on the horizon (aka tomorrow), Murph runs through some season-long over/under totals that Vegas has placed upon some Sox players and the team as a whole. Murph runs through each of them and gives you his honest opinion of what Vegas thinks will happen come the end of the 2021 regular season. Lastly, Murph dives into the latest news revolving New York Mets shortstop, Fransisco Lindor turning down a 10-year, $325m contract extension. Was this a smart or dumb move by Lindor to turn down such a massive contract. Murph will let you know what he thinks of this news and what he thinks Lindor should do or should have done!
