Manchester Utd V Sheffield Utd - Using Real Stats not fantasy stuff

This video is about Manchester Utd V Sheffield Utd - Using Real Stats not fantasy stuff as in the manchester evening news. Man Utd v Sheff Utd 2020 Hello and welcome to the video. After Sundays Silly video we get back to some sensible stuff. You might have seen this report by the Manchester evening news about what could have happened if Sheff Utd went over to Old Trafford on the 22nd March. I must say it been really bugging me so.. In this video, we have a quick look at what it said. And then instead of using fantasy statistics, we will go head to head with each player using the official statistics from this season then we see which team has actually been putting in the best performances this season. If your a blade this video is well worth a couple of minutes of your time. ( intro clip ) So they predicted Man Utd would start with a 4-2-3-1 line up.. being a Manchester newspaper ill not argue with them and let them have their say. This is the line up they chose for Sheff Utd. For my comparison I'll use my own starting 11, because I'm going on real stats, not fantasy, I can’t compare players like Moore in goal and an out of position Ben Osborn simply because there isn’t enough data. Cutting the painful article short Man Utd won 2-0 with goals from Danial James and Fred. Ok, that’s enough of that let's look at the real stuff. I did a full video last week comparing the two goalkeepers, check that one out if you didn’t see it. Heres a much-simplified version for this video and its easy to see with more clean sheets, fewer goals conceded, higher save success etc etc, under Chris Wilder, and behind the fortress of the Sheffield Utd defence, Henderson is by a mile the better goalkeeper. I've also done a comparison video of the 5 Sheff Utd defenders, check that one out if you want to see who statistically is the best from our backline. Here we’ve got Eagan going head to head against Man-haters utds captain Harry Maguire, because he was born in Sheffield and went through our academy I am a Maguire fan, however, you can’t argue with stats like these, Eagan is having the time of his life, and is outperforming one of if not the best English centre backs at this time. Heres another English team player with Luke Shaw, He Goes head to head with a fans favourite jack O’Connell, Now Oconnel has had double the minutes of shaw this season so here we need to double shaws stats to make a fair comparison. This makes the data fairly even but out of the 8 defender stats shown 2 are equal, Shaw wins 2 and Oconnell wins 4. So basically another win for The Blades. As we look over the stats comparing Lindelof and Basham you would be excused for thinking Basham must have seen double the match time of Lindelof because the figures can’t possibly be a fair comparison, however, you would wrong both players have had roughly the same time on time on the pitch. Just look at the difference of these stats, 61 interceptions to 19, 61 tackles to 23, Im sure if your a Man U fan you can make some weird and wonderful excuses but basically you’d be talking crap. Basham wins hands down so just suck it up. Over the last 3 years, Stevens has enjoyed a meteoric rise under Chris Wilder his player market value has increased a massive 5,000% however 19-year-old newcomer Brandon Williams has already trumped him and apparently worth around 4 million pounds more. For the stats shown here, Williams has only had a d of the time on the pitch so we need adjust, but even after the adjustments Stevens is still comfortably outperforming the Manchester Utd rising star. Onto wan bissaka and George Baldock, with Baldock playing two more games wan bissaka takes the edge here and outperforming Baldock in their defensive roles, however, you can’t ignore the fact Baldock has 2 goals to his name, and 3 assists and has more clean sheets to his name, so agree or not, I'm still giving to the Blades. Another Player progressing through the Manchester Utd youth academy is central midfielder Scott McTominay, he’s had 25% less pitch time than Fleck and with that adjustment, both players have a great season. There's so little difference between this position Im. Going to call it a draw, even though it pains me to do it. I still must add give me fleck and the 20 million pound change that would come from buying McTominay and id take fleck every time. Oli Norwood has had 5 times the game time of Fernandes this season, so we’ve got to take that into account. I want to point out how many times Norwood has been disposed of this season just 4 it goes to show just how solid a player he is , adjusting the game time for Fernandes that would. Put him on 45.. there’s little wonder hes been warming the bench this season. Without a doubt, Norwood has had a much better career with us than if he had stayed with Man Utd after completing his appentaship at Old Trafford.
