Finally got my hands on some of the "non grip" gloves & they will be giving me nightmares for the foreseeable future! Makes catching a simple volley feel like trying to hold onto a bar of soap in a hurricane... Fairly simple session plan, looks more like my match day warm up than anything else! Chucked on some old training gloves at the end for comparison, definitely going to be using the non-grips far more often to make sure I don't regain these bad handling habits!

After putting the topic to a vote on Instagram, the results were too close to call so I did a session working on both close range block saves and working on high diving saves. I also nearly wiped out my iPad in this video! Couple things I’ve noticed is that my body shape “twists” around when going for the block save and that I seriously need to work on my ability to produce power from one leg when diving for those high shots!
