Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has issued a warning to all his charges as the club looks set for wholesale changes at the end of the season. Chiefs have several players in the final few months of their contracts and, following the departure of Siphelele Ntshangase, the axe is expected to fall on a couple more come May/June. Senior players such as Bernard Parker, Willard Katsande, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Lebogang Manyama will all see their deals run up at the end of this season and it's understood that the club has pushed back negotiations for now. Scroll through the gallery above to view all the Chiefs players whose contracts will run up in June 2021 With Amakhosi having endured a turbulent season, it is uncertain whether these and other stars have done enough to earn the faith of Hunt and will remain at the club beyond 2021. While such uncertainty often breads dissatisfaction among players, the four-time league winning tactician has warned against dropping their efforts and "cheating the game." "If you're a professional footballer, I always say to players, 'You play in the shop window, you should be training and playing everyday like somebody's watching you,'" Hunt told the media. "If you do that, football gods will take care of you. So, that's the way I work – everyday is a trial, everyday we need to be better than the day before and then things will take care of itself.

Samir Nurkovic's first-half strike handed Kaizer Chiefs a 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca in their CAF Champions League semi-final first-leg. With Lebogang Manyama unavailable, Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro continued to lead the line for Chiefs who also gave full-back Yagan Sasman a start in defence. Chiefs felt the brunt of the host from the get-go with Muaid Ellafi going close from a volley in the heart of the area before Attiat Allah dragged a loose attempt narrowly wide of range. The North African powerhouse didn’t stop to unsettle the Amakhosi following the opening exchanges, with Ayoub El Kaabi forcing a save off goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma with a header. However, the Amakhosi cracked the opener on 34 minutes through Nurkovic from a clever pass by Njabulo Blom, with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) overuling the linesman's initial offside call.
