The Crimson Tide were undefeated until that game and ranked No. 1 in the nation, but the Tigers defended home field and made it all the way to the national championship game. The Iron Bowl might not be an official Bowl game in college football, but the drama, prestige and postseason implications are all there making this clash of football titans one of the most highly anticipated games every season.
