With just nine active players on Monday night, the Warriors hung with the Denver Nuggets in a 131-124 defeat. Though the Nuggets led through all four frames, the Dubs used an 11-6 surge at the close of the second quarter to bring the game within two points at halftime. The Warriors continued to remain competitive through the second half, however it was not enough to ultimately overcome reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Jordan Poole posted a team-high 32 points including a career-high tying eight 3-pointers, marking the guard’s sixth outing of 30-or-more points this season. Jonathan Kuminga added 16 points and four rebounds shooting 6-for-9 from the field, and Dubs big man Kevon Looney posted his fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Chiozza recorded a team-high eight assists while Quinndary Weatherspoon produced a season-high 11 points.
