Led by James Harden’s 36 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and season-high 3 blocks, the Nets defeated the Lakers, 122-115. This is Harden’s 63rd career triple-double and his 5th of the season. Harden is now the 8th player in NBA history and the 1st player in Nets franchise history to record a triple-double on Christmas Day. Patty Mills added a career-high tying 34 points (Christmas Day record 8 3pt FG) and a season-high 7 assists in the victory, while LeBron James (39 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals) and Russell Westbrook (13 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists) combined for 52 points in the losing effort. This is Westbrook’s 6th triple-double of the season, 190th triple-double of his career and 2nd career triple-double on Christmas Day. The Nets improve to 22-9 on the season, while the Lakers fall to 16-18.
