This season, each episode of the ‘Players to Watch’ series will focus on a window of around 4 Gameweeks, with the intention of spotting the players with the fixtures and form to return points during that specific run of matches, in order to shift the focus more towards longer-term planning. Despite competition from Gabriel Jesus (10.5), the Argentine’s average of 6.8 points per match last season was top amongst forwards and demonstrates his high ceiling to return points when on the field. In just 25 appearances last season, the 30-year-old found the back of the net 21 times; only Kane (30) and Salah (32) scored more goals. His average of 0.8 goals per game was on par with Kane and Aubameyang; with the Egyptian king himself only narrowly improving on that, with 0.9 goals per game. Pep Guardiola’s side travel to London to face Arsenal in Gameweek 1 but their schedule looks very kind between Gameweek 2 and 4, where they’ll host Huddersfield and Newcastle either side of an away fixture against Wolves. #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague

Timo Werner is also on the chopping block after failing to score for a third game in Chelsea blue. 🏆 Join the 2020/21 FPLtips league! 📱 Auto-join: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/r2dypm ➡️ League code: r2dypm 📲 FPLtips team URL: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/1667/history ⭐️ Patreon: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Patreon 🐦 Twitter: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Twitter 📸 Instagram: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Insta 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more FPL videos: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Sub 📊 Get customised stats and optimisation tools: http://fantasyfootballfix.com 🎥 fantasyfootballfix on YT: http://bit.ly/fixSUB #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague

Over the last 4 Gameweeks, Knockaert’s tally of 10 attempted assists is level with Hazard and just one fewer than David Silva has managed. His 3 FPL involvements in that time ranks joint 6th amongst midfielders; beaten by only Gudmundsson, Yarmolenko, Maddison, Sterling and Hazard; with the Chelsea man having been directly involved in 5 goals in that time. Brighton have started the season with a fairly tough schedule, taking on Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs and Man City, in their opening 7 matches. They now have a run of 9 Gameweeks where they won’t face a single side from last season’s top 6, so this looks like the ideal time to bring in Brighton assets. Raheem Sterling 1 goal and 1 assist for Raheem Sterling this weekend has given the England international an average of 7.8 points per game from the opening 7 Gameweeks; beaten by only Hazard amongst midfielders – with his 8.6 points per game. Sterling’s 3 shots inside the box in Gameweek 7 was beaten by only Sigurdsson amongst midfielders – with 4, while only Maddison and Sigurdsson produced more than his 4 attempted assists (prior to the Monday night fixture between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth). Over the last 4 Gameweeks, Sterling’s 5 FPL involvements is level with Hazard and no midfielder has managed more than the pair. 11 efforts from inside the box by Sterling, in that time, ranks 1st amongst midfielders, while his 7 shots on target is joint-best along with Hazard. 12 attempted assists by the 23-year-old (last 4 Gameweeks) is more than Hazard or David Silva have managed; only Willian and Maddison have produced more – with 13. Man City have a mixed bag of fixtures to come, with tricky away games against Liverpool and Spurs but much more appealing home fixtures, against Burnley and Southampton. Less than 5% of managers currently have Sterling in their team, so he’s somehow still a very strong differential and will perhaps provide the option of going without Sergio Aguero in the near future. Raúl Jiménez Wolves found their 3rd win of the season this weekend, beating Southampton by 2 goals to nil and extending their unbeaten run to 5 games. Raúl Jiménez provided an assist for the first goal; his 4 attacking return of the season so far. 4 shots inside the box by the Wolves striker in Gameweek 7 was on par with Harry Kane; only Sergio Aguero took more amongst forwards – with 7. Over the last 4 Gameweeks, 7 shots on target by Jiménez ranks 2nd best amongst forwards, behind only Kane – with 8. Only Aguero and Lacazette (5) have been directly involved in more goals than Jiménez (3) over the last 4 Gameweeks, amongst forwards. Wolves have some favourable fixtures still to come, taking on Crystal Palace, Watford and Brighton over the next 3 Gameweeks. #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague

The 21-year-old produced a tally of 3 attempted assists in Gameweek 5, which was on par with the likes of Mo Salah and David Silva; only Neves and Bernardo Silva created more chances amongst midfielders – with 5. 4 goal attempts taken by Maddison was level with Salah and Hazard, while his 3 shots on target was joint top amongst all players in Gameweek 5; along with the likes of Sterling, Mané, Pogba and Hazard. Over the last 4 Gameweeks, the Leicester City midfielder has scored 2 goals from a total of 10 shots, 5 of which have hit the target and he’s provided 1 assist from a total of 7 attempted assists. Home fixtures against Huddersfield and Everton over the next 4 Gameweeks should present him with plenty of opportunities to add to his FPL points. Matt Doherty Wolves recorded their 2nd consecutive clean sheet this weekend, with a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley and Matt Doherty was key for the promoted side. The right-wing-back recorded the assist for the goal, producing an impressive tally of 3 attempted assists throughout the game; level with Marcos Alonso in Gameweek 5 and only Lucas Digne provided more amongst defenders – with 4. Doherty also took 3 goal attempts against Burnley, with 2 from inside the box; only Jonny, his teammate on the opposite flank, took more shots inside the box amongst defenders in Gameweek 5 – with 3. Over the last 4 Gameweeks, the 26-year-old has produced 6 attempted assists and 8 goal attempts, with 7 from inside the box and 4 on target. No defender has taken more shots inside the box during that period, with Marcos Alonso managing 5. With an away trip to Man Utd up next for Wolves, we can perhaps hold off from bringing Doherty in just yet, but a home fixture against Southampton in Gameweek 7 looks like a possible time to bring him in. Ryan Fraser Eden Hazard stole the show in Gameweek 5, with a hat-trick against Cardiff, but the Belgian was already firmly on the radar and will continue to be, so it’s Ryan Fraser who moves onto the Watchlist. The Scotland midfielder enjoyed a similar points haul to Hazard, providing an assist and 2 goals during Bournemouth’s 4-2 win over Leicester. The goals came from just 2 total shots, which suggests that such an explosive haul was perhaps fortunate but Fraser’s numbers over the last 4 Gameweeks still show plenty of promise, particularly in terms of assist potential. His 9 attempted assists is 5th best amongst midfielders, behind Hazard, Sigurdsson (10), Salah (14) and David Silva (16) but 4 ‘big chances created’ by Fraser during that period is top amongst all players. Bournemouth have scored 10 goals this season, which is level with Spurs and only Liverpool (11), Chelsea and Man City (14) have managed more. #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague

His tally of 4 attempted assists in Gameweek 4 was joint 2nd in the league; matching Aguero, Sanchez, Lukaku and David Silva, while only Eden Hazard produced more – with 5. Amongst Arsenal players, Mkhitaryan is the only man to equal the Welshman’s 7 attempted assists this season, while only Lacazette has matched his 5 efforts on target; none of his teammates have produced more on either account. For comparison, Mo Salah is top for shots on target amongst midfielders this season, with a total of 7 efforts; just 2 more than Ramsey. Arsenal’s kind run of fixtures continues over the next 4 Gameweeks, seeing them welcome Everton and Watford to the Emirates, in-between trips to Newcastle and Fulham. Callum Wilson An injury to Wilfried Zaha means we’re forced to consider alternative options within the budget forward category and despite failing to get on the scoresheet against Chelsea, Callum Wilson continues to impress. The Bournemouth striker took just the 1 goal attempt in Gameweek 4 but it was deemed by Opta to be a ‘big chance missed’. A total of 7 ‘big chances’ this season for Wilson is more than any other Premier League player has had, beating Lukaku – with 6 and Salah and Mitrovic – with 5. 14 efforts from inside the box from the 26-year-old is also a league-high tally, beating Aguero and Lukaku – with 13 and Salah and Mitrovic – with 12. The fixtures remain positive for Eddie Howe’s side in the near future, with home matches against Leicester and Crystal Palace over the next 4 Gameweeks. David Silva Finally today, we move on to Man City midfielder David Silva, who has looked impressive since returning to Premier League action in Gameweek 2. In 3 appearances this season, between Gameweek 2 and Gameweek 4, the Spaniard has produced a league-high tally of 13 attempted assists; beating Salah’s total of 11 over that period and Hazard’s 9, so it’s very surprising to see that the 32-year-old is yet to register an assist. His total of 6 efforts from inside the box during the same timeframe (GW2-4) also ranks highly amongst midfielders; beaten by only Alli – with 7 and Salah – with 9. Man City welcome Fulham and Brighton to the Etihad over the next 3 Gameweeks, either side of a trip to Cardiff in Gameweek 6. #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague
► Upload your FPL squad now at http://fantasyfootballfix.com After a solid score of 91 points to start the new season, it’s now time to turn our attention to the team selection plans for Gameweek 2. This weekend sees Chelsea host Arsenal in the late kick off on Saturday, the two Manchester clubs line up against Huddersfield and Brighton on Sunday, while Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace on Monday night. If you’d like to join the FPLtips league, the information is as follows: League Code: 171-1295 Auto-join: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-League ► FPLtips team URL: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/171/history ► Please consider supporting on Patreon: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Patreon ► Follow on Twitter: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Twitter ► Follow on Instagram: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Insta ► SUBSCRIBE for more FPL videos: http://bit.ly/FPLtips-Sub ► Get customised stats and optimisation tools: http://fantasyfootballfix.com ► SUBSCRIBE to fantasyfootballfix on YT: http://bit.ly/fixSUB It’s shaping up to be a two-horse race for the Gameweek 2 captaincy, with the ever-reliable Mohamed Salah travelling away to Crystal Palace, while Sergio Agüero has that enticing home encounter with Huddersfield. If you fancy a slightly more outside-the-box captain, Benjamin Mendy could be one to consider, with Man City looking capable of keeping the clean sheet against the Terriers and after the France left-back’s promising attacking display last weekend. But captaining a defender is always a risky move and in Salah and Agüero, we’ve got two of the best attacking players in the Premier League, leading the line for teams who can’t seem to stop scoring goals. The Argentine ranked joint 9th for his 2 shots from inside the box last weekend, compared to Salah’s 3 efforts and the pair each registered 2 attempted assists. But it’s the growing defensive form of Crystal Palace that causes concern. As mentioned earlier, they kept 3 clean sheets from their last 4 matches at the end of last season, and picked up right where they left off with the recent 2-0 away win over Fulham. If there’s anyone who can breach them, of course, it’s Mohamed Salah but are the odds stacked more in Sergio Agüero’s favour this weekend, with a more attractive fixture? For now, the armband is with the Man City forward but it will be important to listen out for Pep Guardiola’s press conference later this week, in case he drops any clues regarding his team selection and possible rotation. #FPL #FantasyPremierLeague #PremierLeague
