"Unbelievable", "insane technique" and "the perfect moment" - were just some of the descriptions from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the last-minute winning goal from his goalkeeper Alisson which gave the Reds a vital 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion on 16th May. Alisson's header kept Liverpool on course for a place in next season's Champions League after it looked like they would pay for some wasteful finishing against one of the Premier League's already-relegated sides. They stay fifth in the table, but now sit just a point behind Chelsea who face third-placed Leicester City on 18th May. It was an emotional moment for the Brazilian keeper, whose father died after drowning in a lake in February. Klopp described Alisson as "a wonderful, wonderful person". 1. 01:48 - 02:10 SOUNDBITE (English): Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager: (on Alisson's goal) "What a goal, what a worldie. Unbelievable goal, the technique, absolutely insane. Couldn't have hit a better person, couldn't have been a better moment. Just perfect for today. We didn't have a lot of these moments in the season so I don't think we should take it for granted now just because we had it once. We have to keep going." 2. 02:13 - 02:57 SOUNDBITE (English): Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager: (asked if he had told Alisson to go up for the corner which led to his goal) "No, I only looked at the corner ... I don't exactly know. I saw Ali (Alisson) starting and I didn't ... My part in the goal is that I didn't shout 'stay back' and just let him run. But no. It's the last minute of the game, nobody has to ask you if you're a keeper to go in the opposite box. Then you have to win, what we obviously had to. So he went there and (laughs). What a goal! It's incredible, wow. We saw it now already ten times back in the dressing room, it's absolutely incredible. If (Chelsea striker) Olivier Giroud scores a goal like this, everybody says that's a world-class goal. When Alisson is doing it, we have to say the same." 3. 04:13 - 04:44 SOUNDBITE (English): Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager: (on Alisson's popularity with his team-mates) "The way that his team-mates today showed how much they like him is the best description. He's a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful person and funny, smart, thoughtful, intense in moments. He's just a great guy and yeah, honestly it couldn't have been for a better person. It was such a special moment after all what he went through (death of his father). Really, really happy for him." #Liverpool #JurgenKlopp #Klopp #Alisson #EPL #PremierLeague SOURCE: Premier League Productions Visit the WeShow Football store: https://www.youtube.com/weshowfootball/store #WeShowFootball features previews, reactions and behind-the-scenes footage from Europe's elite football competitions.
