This is probably Portugal’s best performance within the last year of qualifying games, I was impressed with the team play the buildup play and the lack of reliance on Ronaldo in particular. With Italy being knocked out, it is essential we get an early goal against north Macedonia and not be afraid to attack, let’s make it to the World Cup.

The game versus Brighton was a very weird one to watch, first half was an absolute joke, we were playing very defensive football with a low block and not much attacking threat, except on the counter. It was good to see Man United finally win a game where we saw slightly better football, however it’s clear to see that there is still a lot to be worked on defensively as well as offensively. The midfield would always be a problem, particularly in the defensive perspective, and yet again we see another game where there is a lack of service for the striker, either one of Greenwood or Rashford need to be dropped!
