The Delaware State men’s basketball team led as many as 22 points in the second half, but had to survive a furious rally by North Carolina A&T to notch its first MEAC win of the season 57-55 in Memorial Hall on Monday, Jan. 25.
On Wednesday, Jan. 27, the Delaware State women’s basketball team (6-13, 3-3 MEAC) pulled out a 66-56 victory at home over the North Carolina Central Eagles (3-14, 2-5 MEAC), thanks to forward NaJai Pollard tallying career-highs in points (23), rebounds (15) and field goals made (11), in addition to guard Aaliyah Davis nearly registering a triple-double totaling 11 points (5-of-12), 10 assists and nine boards.
