This was the 5th ODI of Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand 2000-01. Muttiah Muralitharan bowling in death overs without any run up! Gives away only 3 runs. He was injured on the field with a groin strain. He left the field. Then, he came back to bowl his quota of overs, with a restricted run up. This was just before England's tour of Sri Lanka in 2001. There were doubts if he would be fit for the 1st Test in Galle. He played there as well.
