Texas football is coming a 70-35 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders to begin Big 12 play at Darrell K. Royal (DKR) Texas Memorial Stadium. TCU is coming off a disappointing 42-34 loss to DFW rival SMU Mustangs last Saturday. TCU has had a ton of success against Texas since the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12, going 7-2 in their last 9 meetings. TCU under Gary Patterson has had a very consistent and good defense, but the Horned Frogs have struggled defensively to start the year. Corey Bethley has missed some time with an injury and should return to provide some bulk up front for TCU football, but Texas has shown a great ability to pass in recent weeks and TCU has not done much in terms of defense vs. the pass in 2021.
