Inside today's Locked on Canadiens It was a weekend to forget for the Montreal Canadiens as they came up just short against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, before getting blown out by the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. While their loss to the Stars was what many considered a "good loss", their game against the Blues left much to be desired where they suffered two more injuries in a blowout loss. Scott and Laura recap the weekend, with the greatness from Juraj Slafkovsky and Nick Suzuki, to the disappointment from the team in yet another back to back game. Perhaps the worst part of the weekend for the Canadiens is that the team suffered three more injuries in the two games they played. Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, while Jordan Harris is listed as day to day after suffering a head injury against St. Louis. Most concerning however, is Kaiden Guhle leaving the game against the Blues late and his status being up in the air for the upcoming week. Scott and Laura discuss what the Habs can do to fill the gaps in, while also allowing the Laval Rocket to keep themselves afloat in the AHL playoff chase. Finally, the hosts wrap up the show with some good news! Both Logan Mailloux and Juraj Slafkovsky have taken a tremendous forward step this year, with the latter looking extremely comfortable on the Habs top line, and riding a fantastic run of form. As for Mailloux he's matching Shane Wright's production, while playing as a defenceman on a team that has struggled for consistency for parts of this season. Also Owen Beck and Lane Hutson continue to shine after World Juniors, and that should excite Habs fans everywhere.
