49ers OTA Week 2 | Jimmy Garropolo, Kendrick Bourne, Fred Warner Are Among Standouts

It’s early but Kendrick Bourne is wasting no time looking sharp already. He and Jimmy have been on the same page since the end of last season and nothing has changed there. Kendrick is still constantly open. It’s to early to say but Kendrick’s route running has to be considered special. The somewhat surprise is that of Fred Warner. Warner was drafted because of his special coverage talents, and size to play linebacker. Warner has recently demonstrated his on ball skills are not lacking in the least bit either. Word is Fred’s ability to read, and diagnose offensive lineups is that of a MIKE! The 49ers have one of the latest hybrids in Warner that may be an ultimate defender. If Reuben doesn’t start the season it is already believed that Warner will start over Coyle. BYU coach Kalani Sitake warned us about Fred! He is looking good already, real good! Jerick Mckinnon didn’t work out much last week, and Matt Breida took most of the snaps. He apparently got good grades too. Matt is no J McKinnon but he fits Shanahan’s system. It seems he has put a gap between himself and Joe Williams which puts the running back situation in an interesting place for now!
