A sweep alludes the White Sox once again but the Sox have won every series of the year so far

The series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays did not go well for the Chicago White Sox. The Sox lost 9-3 during a very cold and dreary Sunday afternoon affair. Vince Velasquez allowed 4 runs in the first inning but settled down and did not give up anything after that. The Sox had 3 runs, 3 hits and 3 errors. Two of the errors were committed by Velasquez. The White Sox had opportunities throughout the game to score but could not come up with the big hit when it mattered. They were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. Gavin Sheets hit a ninth inning home run but it was far too little and far too late for it to matter. Despite the loss, the Sox have won each of the first three series of the season.
