11/4/2022 - My injured right hand and wrist are feeling better, so I see no reason to continue with the long time out I gave myself from kettlebell training. It'll take a while to reclaim my kettlebell mojo, tweak my breathing and move with flow from one kettlebell movement to the next. This evening I decided to use a 16kg kettlebell and complete one round of a kettlebell chain that I call the Power 5 KB Chain. It can be done with two kettlebells or a single one alternating from right side to left side which is what I did this evening. Earlier, I did a quick speed workout of bodyweight squats in under two minutes, so my legs were a little sore when doing this kettlebell chain. The chain consists of (1) swing, (2) snatch, (3) clean, (4) squat, and (5) overhead press completed first on the right, then a swing switch to the left side for one rep. This is repeated for a total of five reps for one round. Therefore, in this video, I'm demonstrating one round. A good workout is completing five rounds, resting as needed between rounds to make for a challenging yet enjoyable workout. Earlier this year when I was in better kettlebell conditioning, I did this using two kettlebells which ups the challenge. This is where I want to be again. Thanks for viewing, enjoy your day.
10/29/2022 - First time trying this and it was as hard as I thought it would be - one slow pull-up in one minute. Chin clearing the bar was the hardest part. My final descend at the end was fast and edit tells me this first effort was 59 seconds rather than one minute but I’m cashing in my senior privilege discount and calling my first effort an even one minute. I’ll try again soon. Thanks for viewing, enjoy your day.
