Crystal Palace 1 Newcastle United 1 The Review. Newcastle United travelled to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in their first game since the sacking of Steve Bruce with Graeme Jones taking charge for the first time. It's safe to say a lot of fans were a little confused when the team sheet came out with a few changes made but not maybe the changes the fans had been hoping for. Almiron and Willock the surprise names on the bench. First half it was very poor with Newcastle only having 29% of the possession and sitting back most of the half and Crystal Palace will very very annoyed they didn't go into the break at least a couple of goals ahead. Benteke did give them the lead only to be cancelled out by a simply world class goal by Callum Wilson. All in all a point gained by the toon but we are still looking for that elusive first win of the season in the Premier League with Chelsea next up in a weeks time.
