The Bearcats are led offensively by star quarterback, Desmond Ridder. Ridder has completed 234 out of 355 passes, for 3,190 yards, 30 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Cincinnati has also gotten a strong year out of running back, Jerome Ford, who has rushed 200 times, for 1,242 yards and 19 touchdowns. Defensively, the Bearcats are led by lockdown cornerback, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner who has yet to give up a receiving touchdown in his three years in Cincinnati. However, he will face the biggest test of his career when he faces the Alabama offense. The SEC Champion Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama finished the season 12-1 and earned the number one ranking in the CFP by defeating then undefeated and top ranked Georgia in the SEC title game. Offensively, Alabama is led by Heisman Trophy frontrunner, quarterback, Bryce Young. Young has put up remarkable numbers. He has thrown for 4,322 yards on 314 of 462 passing, with 43 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. His top target is wide receiver, Jameson Williams who has 68 catches on the season for 1,445 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, the Crimson Tide are led by Will Anderson, who leads the nation in sacks with 15.5 on the year.
