Kelly Somers' Preview | Arsenal vs Chelsea in the 2021-22 Premier League

It was a contrasting start to the Premier League season for Arsenal and Chelsea. Arsenal losing 2-0 to newly promoted Brentford, before Chelsea brushed aside Crystal Palace by three goals to nil. Now, the pair face off at the Emirates. The headaches have already started for Mikel Arteta. He may have been wihtout Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for the trip to the Brentford Community Stadium, but he could be without them again this weekend. The problems they faced against Brentford weren't solely due to the strikers, because the service into Flo Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli was lacking once again. Last season they had the 10th best scoring record in the league - hardly the record you need when you're trying to challenge for Europe. Arteta needs to find a solution fast, because after Chelsea, they face the champions, Manchester City. In contrast, Thomas Tuchel's start to the season couldn't have gone much better, easing past Palace. They could be be boosted by the return of N'Golo Kante, plus, the new number nine Romelu Lukaku looks set to feature. Despite a brilliant start to life under Tuchel, the Blues have only scored more than two goals on two occasions, so they've spent almost £100m to bring back their former striker. He scored 30 goals in Serie A last season, and understandably there is plenty of excitement about his arrival in West London. Tuchel says Lukaku is very likely to feature. Everything points the way of Chelsea, but Arsenal have won their last three games against the Blues, and in fact, they've only lost three of the last 14 meetings between the two teams. Which way do you think this one is going to go?
