Will Dallas Eakins Ruin the Anaheim Ducks Like He Ruined the Oilers?

10/20/21 - Firing Ralph Kreuger as Edmonton Oilers head coach wasn't only the worst coaching decision in the history of the hockey club, it was one of the worst HR decisions in sports history, period. Now Eakins is back in the NHL as the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks look now a lot like the Oilers did then: a talented young team with a few veterans to show the young guys the way. What Eakins destroyed in Edmonton he could still destroy in Anaheim.

Ethan Bear Wasn't the Problem With the 2021 Edmonton Oilers

06/01/21 - Following the team's elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs by the Winnipeg Jets, some Edmonton Oilers chose to take to their social media to direct racist abuse toward Defenseman Ethan Bear. It's reprehensible behaviour that makes no sense. Ethan Bear struggled this season, but he was far from the only thing wrong with this team this season. Unfortunately, its common for Oilers fans to scapegoat players. This goes beyond that, but all of this toxic behaviour needs to go.

Edmonton Oilers: Mike Smith's Leadership Lapse

03/17/21 - The goaltender is rarely a position looked to for leadership. But on the Edmonton Oilers, Mike Smith is the oldest and most experienced player on the team. During a recent game against the Calgary Flames, Smith made a mistake that a leader must avoid. He won't be the first member of a team's leadership core to make this mistake, and he won't be the last.

Trouble is Brewing For the Winnipeg Jets

02/12/21 - How many people like the way that the Ottawa Senators are looking these days? I'd wager that Jets fans don't mind the easy points. Few hockey fans really do. But take careful note of what you're seeing in the Nation's Capital. Drink it in. Then remember how that situation began. There's a good chance this is coming to your team, Jets fans. It isn't going to be pretty if and when it does.
