James Nadwa is a happy man after his boys Rangers Fc managed to win their only second match out of 20 matches that have been played in the domestic league. Edwin Ombasa scored the only goal in the 1-0 win against Sony Sugar at the city stadium this afternoon.
Ulinzi stars have gone a step further in defending their top 8 title after making it to the finals. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg the military men won 2-1 in the return leg held at the Nyayo National Stadium. Sony had equal chances of shaking the net but Ulinzi utilized theirs perfectly with Stephen Ochora scoring the opener in the 36th minute. Three minutes latter Antony Nderitu scored the second after Obungus fault on Sonys goal post. Ismael Dunga pulled one back for Sony but the goal could not salvage the sugar men.
The Kenya premier league will experience a double mid week clash on Wednesday as Gor Mahia take on Western Stima and Sofapaka battle it out with AFC Leopards. Ingwe has a match at hand against Sony and if they win the two matches will return at the helm of the table standings. Currently Sofapaka are leading on 29 ponts followed by Tusker and AFC Leopards.
