Tabbed as the No. 2 seed, Old Dominion - which is ranked 58th in the nation - secured a 4-0 victory over (7) UAB to open up the 2015 C-USA Men's Tennis Championship on its home court. After falling behind in two of the doubles matches in the early going, the Monarchs benefited from a brief rain delay to claim control of the doubles round and collected the first point. ODU did not look back. After #6 and #3 singles clinched their matches, the Monarch's lone senior, Carlos Lopez Villa, registered the clinching point, when he handled UAB's Mitchell Martell in straight sets (6-0, 6-1).
