IPL Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad | RR vs SRH Live | Score & Live update. #RRvsSRH #SRHvsRR #IPL2021live #RRvSRH #SRHvRR #SunrisersHyderabad #RajasthanRoyals #Rajasthan #Hyderabad #IPLLivematch Preview by Kritika Naidu Some have termed it brutal, while some, bold. Sunrisers Hyderabad axed David Warner as their captain for the remainder of the season, with Kane Williamson taking his place. They even confirmed a change in their overseas combination on the eve of their match against Rajasthan Royals. "I take full responsibility," Warner had said after SRH's seven-wicket loss to CSK in their last game. "The way that I batted was obviously very slow." Warner had reached a fifty, but finished with a 53-ball 57, with his scoring rate this season just 110.28, and 127.32 overall since 2020. Last season, it was the first time in six years of representing SRH that Warner's strike-rate had dipped below 140. Dropping Warner was a move that wasn't easy, but perhaps the only way SRH could go. Both Williamson and Jonny Bairstow were dropped on a few occasions, but among their four current overseas players, only Warner is short on form. They wouldn't even have to shuffle the order at all with Jason Roy waiting in the wings to step into the opening slot alongside Bairstow. SRH have faced similar challenges in the last few seasons, heavily reliant on Warner and Bairstow at the top with their middle order struggles continuing to haunt them. Compounding that is the poor returns of their Indian contingent, but SRH yet, have made the playoffs in the last five years. The game against RR will mark the midway of the league phase, with each team having played all others once. RR, like SRH, haven't lived up to their potential with just two wins in six games, as opposed to the latter's one. RR need to rethink their batting strategy, having sent up Shivam Dube ahead of David Miller, who only faced a mere four balls in their last game against MI, while Chris Morris and Rahul Tewatia didn't face any as they finished with a below-par total. The Royals are sorely missing a frontline spinner to contain the runs in the middle overs. Although Chetan Sakariya has been impressive, the others need to step up to pose a threat to oppositions, which at the moment, they're lacking. When:RR vs SRH, May 2, 2021, 15:30 IST Where: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi What to expect: A good wicket that may be tacky at the start, but should progressively get better as the game goes on. Teams may prefer to chase. Head to Head: RR 6:7 SRH The clashes between these sides have been neck to neck with Sunrisers having the lead, only just, which could change tomorrow. Team Watch Rajasthan Royals Player availability: Rassie van der Dussen has arrived in India, but is still serving his mandatory quarantine. Tactics and match-ups: Jaydev Unadkat hasn't let Warner or Manish Pandey get the better of him. With the former out of the picture, given the start SRH get, Unadkat could be used and saved for when Manish arrives, who averages a mere 14 against him. RR would want to being in Shreyas Gopal too to give them a frontline spinning option, but SRH's middle order are quite adept against spin. Probable XI:Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shivam Dube, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, Jaydev Unadkat, Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman Sunrisers Hyderabad Player Availability: T Natarajan underwent surgery and Bhuvneshwar Kumar's thigh strain has meant SRH are missing their ace duo. While Natarajan has been ruled out of the tournament, Bhuvneshwar may still make a return at some point. Warner being dropped and the management saying they will make a change to their overseas batsmen could see Jason Roy making his debut for SRH. Tactics and match-ups: Royals' top-eight batsmen have a higher SR against pace when compared to that of spin. In the middle overs, RR have scored at under seven an over against spin and their batsmen have the lowest average and balls per dismissal against spin in these overs, which could tempt SRH to play both Rashid and Mujeeb. The Afghan duo has picked seven wickets each against RR with an economy rate under 7. Rashid concedes at less than five runs an over against all of RR's top-eight, except Tewatia, and has accounted for Buttler thrice in 14 balls. Will we see Rashid in the powerplay then? Probable XI:Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Jagadeesha Suchith, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddarth Kaul Did you know? - Against SRH, Buttler has scored only 73 runs in eight innings, averaging 9.12 and a strike rate of 94.81 with a highest of 16. - Overseas players have scored nearly 65% of the total runs by SRH, and have taken just under 50% of all the wickets. - All of Royals' top eight batsmen have a higher SR against pace compared to that against spin. Squads: Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad: David Warner, Jonny
