Matt Murphy enters 2nd season with UNB
Matt Murphy is a 22 year old defenceman entering his 2nd season with the UNB Varsity Reds in the Atlantic University Sport hockey conference. Murphy was roginally drafted by Val d'Or in the QMJHL but was traded to Halifax where he went onto win the 2013 Memorial Cup. Murphy was later dealt to Quebec and eventually ended up in Saint John but is now on the Fredericton campus and still is considering playing pro hockey. Sea Dogs road trip to Bathurst
Saint John Sea Dogs have been road warriors over the past few weeks. They played 5 games in 7 night in Quebec and then travelled home for a 3 games in 3 days weekend including a road game in Acadie- Bathurst. Halifax Mooseheads acquired a highly regarded 15 year old defenceman Cam Whynot from the Shewrbrooke Phoenix earlier this month.
