Premier League Day 3: United Won, Arsenal Are In Trouble + Brentford, A Surprising Team So Far

Manchester United didn't play particularly well at Wolves, but they managed to win away, which is important. Arsenal can't seem to find their marks and they lost heavily to Manchester City. It seems Arsenal players are giving up already and their manager Arteta run out of ideas. Brentford, the newly promoted team off to a good start with two away draws and a win against Arsenal at home. Liverpool VS Newcastle: Great Win, But Liverpool Should Have Kept A Clean Sheet
Liverpool VS Newcastle: Great Win, But Liverpool Should Have Kept A Clean Sheet

Liverpool beat Newcastle 3-1 at Anfield, but Covid affected the performance of the team defensively. van Dijk, Fabinho and Jones were all isolated because of Covid. Konate wasn't expected to start, but he did the best he could and Matip is still a work in progress. Liverpool managed to win the game, but a lot of work needs to be done to fix the defense. Liverpool are going to have to handle Covid well, since Mane, Salah and Keita will be joining the national teams to play in the African Cup of Nations, otherwise, the squad will get thinner and thinner.

Liverpool VS Brighton: Jurgen Klopp Is A One Dimensional Manager!
Liverpool VS Brighton: Jurgen Klopp Is A One Dimensional Manager!

Liverpool drew again against Brighton and as usual, their defense let me down. Jurgen Klopp is One dimensional manager because he focuses on offense and ignores the defense. van Dijk has been rewarded with another contract, but he hasn't been playing like it. Jurgen Klopp keeps saying Liverpool defense didn't play well, but he's not addressing it in practice as the defenders make the same mistakes week in and week out. The offense is doing its job, but Liverpool will need to play well in every position to have a chance to win the Premier League and Champions league.
