BREAKING: NBA POSTPONES TODAY’S GAMES

Minutes before they were set to take the court for their playoff contest vs. the Orlando Magic, the Milwaukee Bucks announced they would instead boycott the game. Shortly thereafter, the Magic decided they would also boycott before the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder declared to boycott their early evening game. As the Lakers were reportedly meeting on whether they would play their Game 5 tonight vs. the Trailblazers, the NBA announced all of the day’s games would be postponed. A meeting involving teams and players still in the “bubble” is reportedly set for tonight to discuss the way forward. All of this stems from the shooting of Jacob Blake in the Wisconsin town of Kenosha. It is the latest high-profile incident involving the shooting or killing of a black American.
