There is no doubt that Derrick Rose could be a solid guard option for the Miami Heat, and he is definitely capable of leading a bench unit or filling in sporadically as a starting point guard. Derrick Rose has notably been linked to the Dallas Mavericks as well, so it is clear that the Miami Heat will have some competition if they try to get him. Derrick Rose is clearly in the twilight of his career right now, and it is quite possible that he will retire over the course of the next few years.
